Sony's Google TV changes marketing promotion?

Recently, Sony announced the Google TV which collaborates HDTV with the internet. People who are watching football game can tweet in the same screen!
This would make companies or advertising agencies re-consider their promotion method in the near future. It would be collaboration out-bound marketing with in-bound marketing.
Stay Tune!

  1. It's an interesting concept. I wonder how it will work out. Personally I still prefer to have my laptop open while I watch TV than integrating my surfing into the TV (although I can see its usefulness for streaming videos)

  2. I think it is a great concept. I followed Twitter a bit during the recent California Gubernatorial debate and something more integrated could have been pretty useful. Also Google TV will integrate directly with an Android phone so it seems like there is a lot of potential there. Something integrated with a tablet might even make me understand why I'd want to buy one.

  3. This would be a game changer...! No pun intended. One on hand somewhat distracting. On the other hand "hanging out" with friends in a different city while watching the game could be awesome.

From an advertising point of view, this would entice folks to watch the game realtime meaning no forwarding through ads. Any clever ads would receive instant buzz rather than being overlooked by most.
